Bridal Fashion Week With Pictures
Twice a year I collaborate with some of the worlds’ most talented bridal designers during New York’s Bridal Fashion Week. Romance is in the details and trust me it takes a team to pull off a successful event. Lace and delicate silks adorning the dresses, and my job was to deliver flawless, bridal hairstyles to crown the models strolling down the runway. It was a sheer joy to be behind the scenes at scenes at Rheem Acra, Lakum, Inbal Dror, and at the JLM Press Show wit Hayley Paige, Allison Webb, Lazaro, and Tara Keely. These talented designers honed their genius and created some of Spring 2018 most beautiful bridal designs. Special thanks to Tearsheet, Cutler and Redken, for always supporting the love and passion of our fellow hair and makeup artists.
Behind The Scenes
Back stage at any fashion show is always frenetic. It’s fun to get swept up in the excitement of the moment, and the necessity of paying unerring detail to each beautiful model, as things move at a lightening speed. I was inspired by the fairytale gowns in blush and ivory with Guinevere sleeves and lace capes, and the more sophisticated eveningwear, which included cigarette pants and shoulder baring tops. The new looks called for loose, vintage waves and messy buns, which enhanced the beauty of the gowns and the slightly more edgy designs for evening. This year these looks along with incredible bridal accessories and wedding hairstyles and makeup looks, walked the runways at the Chelsea Market, the luxurious New York Public Library was followed by the Knot Gala, the biggest industry event to end Bridal Fashion Week. Until nest Season, Happy planning!
